Infos about the Oskar von Miller Forum

The Oskar von Miller Forum is an independent educational initiative supported by the Bayerische Bauwirtschaft and dedicated to enhance the image of construction engineering in wider society.

The forum will be a meeting point and an international guest house, which offers an inspiring and motivating atmosphere, providing space for students, visiting scientists and students from higher level trade schools to develop their individual potential. It also represents a unique platform for resident scholars to engage in dialogue beyond their respective disciplines. This opportunity ideally complements courses at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), supporting the pursuit of excellence and fostering dialogue between the worlds of science, culture, business and politics.

The Oskar von Miller Forum is dedicated to promoting a holistic image of construction engineering across multiple disciplines. Inspired by the traditional, unifying role of the “master builder” (German: Baumeister), which successfully spanned multiple related disciplines, the Forum acts as a plattform bringing together construction engineering, surveying, architecture and the skilled trades.
